H made everyone pumpkin waffles for breakfast and they were a big hit with Tae-son. Actually, every food has been a big hit with him! June 17, 1980 is the day that my husband's family brought him to Kimpo Airport in Seoul and put him on a plane for JFK. Today, my husband has been in the US for 17 years longer than he lived in Seoul, but some integral, intuitive part of him is still Korean. It was a lovely day, and we were all happy to be together. My dad, who has spent the last 2 months helping us complete the Bathroom from Hell, was in quite a bit of pain. Our school is too concerned about lawsuits to allow dances to be held there, so the local church has a group of parents that volunteer to supervise about a hundred and fifty seventh and eighth graders as they dance, sweat, kiss, cry and make out in the dark, smelly basement of the church.
